Recipe : Herbed Garlic Crostini
Makes 4 servings
4 ounces French or Italian bread, cut into 4 equal slices
1 large garlic clove, halved
1 tablespoon + 1 teaspoon extra-virgin olive oil
2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil, oregano or thyme leaves or 1 teaspoon dried
1 tablespoon + 1 teaspoon chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley
Pinch salt
Freshly ground black pepper to taste
Preheat broiler.
Place bread slices on baking sheet; broil 4" from heat 1-2 minutes on each side until
golden brown.
Rub each slice of toast with cut garlic. Drizzle toast evenly with oil, then sprinkle
evenly with basil, parsley, salt and pepper.
