Recipe : Smoked Salmon Canapes
Makes 2 servings
6 slices (2 ounces) cocktail (party-style) rye bread, halved diagonally to form 12
triangles
2 tablespoons nonfat cream cheese
2 ounces very thinly sliced smoked Nova Scotia salmon, cut into 12 equal pieces
1 tablespoon drained capers, rinsed
12 small dill sprigs
1 lemon, cut into wedges
Additional dill sprigs to garnish (optional)
Spread each bread triangle with 1/2 teaspoon cream cheese; top each with 1 piece of
salmon, a few capers and 1 dill sprig.
Arrange canapes on medium decorative platter; surround with lemon wedges to be
used to squeeze onto canapes before eating. Serve at room temperature, garnished
with additional dill sprigs if desired.
