Delicious And Healthy Low Carb Atkins Diet Recipe

Recipe : Brown Bread

Makes 4 servings

1 cup + 2 tablespoons whole-wheat flour
1 teaspoon caraway seeds
1 teaspoon double-acting baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup + 2 teaspoons plain nonfat yogurt
1 egg, beaten
1 tablespoon firmly packed dark brown sugar
1 tablespoon molasses
1 tablespoon vegetable oil

Preheat oven to 375o F. Spray an 8" round cake pan with nonstick cooking spray.
In medium bowl, combine flour, caraway seeds, baking powder, baking soda,
cinnamon and salt. In small bowl, with wire whisk, combine yogurt, egg, sugar,
molasses, oil and 1/4 cup water. Add wet ingredients to dry; stir with wire whisk
just until combined.
Transfer batter to prepared pan; bake 20-25 minutes, until golden brown and
toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Serve warm or at room temperature.
