Makes 4 servings

1/2 cup granulated sugar
4 cups diagonally sliced rhubarb (1" pieces)
1 tablespoon grated orange zest

In medium saucepan, combine 1 cup water and the sugar; place over medium heat.
Cook, stirring constantly, until sugar is dissolved.
Add rhubarb and orange zest to dissolved sugar; bring liquid just to a boil. Reduce
heat to low; simmer 10 minutes, until rhubarb is tender.
