Delicious And Healthy Low Carb Atkins Diet Recipe

Makes 4 servings
1 cup minus 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon double-acting baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon dried thyme leaves
1/4 teaspoon dried marjoram leaves
1/8 teaspoon dried sage leaves
1/2 cup low-fat (1.5%) buttermilk
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
Preheat oven to 400o F. Spray baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray.
In medium bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, pepper, thyme,
marjoram and sage. Add buttermilk and oil; mix just until combined.
Transfer dough to prepared baking sheet; pat into a 7" circle about 1/2" thick.
Bake 15-20 minutes, until golden brown and firm.
EACH SERVING (1/4 SHORTCAKE) PROVIDES: 3/4 Fat, 1 1/4 Breads, 10 Optional
