Recipe : Strawberries in Balsamic Vinegar
Pungent balsamic vinegar really brings out the essence of the berries in this
refreshing sweet-and-sour dessert.
Makes 4 servings
3 cups hulled whole strawberries, halved
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
2 teaspoons balsamic vinegar
In a medium bowl, combine the strawberries and sugar. Cover and refrigerate 2
hours, until syrupy.
Stir the vinegar into the strawberry mixture and let stand 30 minutes at room
temperature. Divide evenly among 4 bowls and serve.
