Delicious And Healthy Low Carb Atkins Diet Recipe

Recipe : Italian Burgers
This version of Italian meatballs is so flavorful that you won't need ketchup, onions or
other traditional burger toppings.
Makes 4 servings
Two 1-ounce slices white bread
15 ounces lean ground sirloin (10% or less fat)
1/3 cup finely minced flat-leaf parsley
2 tablespoons freshly grated Parmesan cheese
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt
Four 1-ounce hard rolls, split
Prepare grill for a medium fire, using direct method (see Cooking Methods).
In a blender or food processor, pulse bread to a fine crumb.
In large bowl, combine beef, bread crumbs, parsley, cheese, garlic, basil, pepper
and salt. Shape mixture into 4 equal patties.
Grill patties directly over coals, turning once, 10 minutes (medium) or 12 minutes
(well-done). Serve each burger on a hard roll.
SERVING (1 BURGER ON ROLL) PROVIDES: 3 PROTEINS, 1 1/2 Breads, 15
