Recipe : Lamb Burgers with Feta Cheese
Lamb burgers are a flavorful change from beef burgers; if you don't see ground lamb
at your supermarket, ask the butcher to grind some for you.
Makes 4 servings
9 ounces lean ground lamb
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon dried rosemary leaves, crumbled
Pinch freshly ground black pepper
3/4 ounce feta cheese, crumbled
In medium bowl, combine lamb, salt, garlic powder, rosemary, and pepper; form
into 4 equal patties.
In medium nonstick skillet, cook patties 3 minutes; turn over. Top each patty with
one-fourth of the cheese; cook, covered, 3 minutes, until cheese is melted and
patties are cooked through.
SERVING (1 BURGER) PROVIDES: 2 Proteins.
